Account Manager
Univar, North America's largest chemical distribution company requires a Account Manager for its Water Treatment market group to cover the Eastern PA & NJ sales territory.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in business development by reviewing customer operations and proposing products and technical services to meet those needs.
• Perform onsite bench testing of products to meet customer demands
• Develop and implements protocols for full scale plant evaluations of specific products
• Develop business opportunities through various marketing channels
• Develop technical proposals in response to RFP’s
• Develop proactive technical proposals for enhancing customer operations with Univar Products and Services
• Assist in contract negotiations
• Develop estimates of program profitability and customer cost savings
• Develop and execute plans for program implementation: program phases, process engineering, product moves, communication channels with customers, training needs, etc.
• Provide on-going technical program measurement activities and documentation: customer satisfactions, cost savings, Univar profitability, quality, etc.
• Identify new service opportunities through monitoring industry changes and customer needs.
• Manages Territory and Accounts
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
Water or Wastewater treatment process experience
Technical or Engineering background
Laboratory & Analytical knowledge.
Sales experience
Customer Focused
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to develop and promote win-win relationships with customers and vendors
Detailed and committed to quality
Education/Training
Degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering or other Technical Degree
Water/Wastewater industry operations
