Pennsylvania
Rural Water Association is
a nonprofit association of professionals and utilities in the water and
wastewater industry serving small communities. PRWA
exists to enhance the quality of life in small communities by providing
training, technical assistance, and representation to public water and
wastewater utilities, while maintaining environmental integrity.
PRWA is the Pennsylvania State Affiliate of
the National Rural Water Association,
participating in all of its Programs and providing all of its benefits in
Pennsylvania. The Board of Directors and members of PRWA invites you to join our growing organization, bringing the many
benefits of membership to your utility.
PRWA Offers specialized training covering both water and
wastewater in treatment, regulations, administrative and financial management
practices and operator certification. This training, offered free or at low
cost, allows water professionals to upgrade their skills, improve the quality of
their members' services and protect their communities' health. Training credits
toward certification is available to Pennsylvania operators.
PRWA Professional technical representatives assist water and wastewater
systems in their operations, and in their efforts to protect the public's health
and comply with complex regulations. Hands-on practical technical assistance is
provided on-site at no cost to the member. PRWA is not a regulatory or enforcement agency, but can offer valuable assistance
in meeting the complex set of regulations facing the industry. The technical
staff is funded by programs administered through the National
Rural Water Association and PRWA
membership dues.
Dues and
other contributions to local, state or national associations are not deductible
as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Association dues
may be deductible as professional or business expenses, to the extent allowable
by law.
