Chapter 252 Laboratory Accreditation is a new regulation
which became effective January 28, 2006. These new laboratory
accreditation regulations will affect water and wastewater facilities that
perform testing required for any of the 12 statutes listed in 252.3 (which
includes NPDES permits) affecting most wastewater facilities. Facilities
have until July 28th to apply for certification so that they may continue
to perform their own testing. Systems will need to send in an application
for accreditation along with the correct fees and a Quality Manual. We
will review the new regulations as well as go through the process of
putting together the application packages at the training.
