The Pennsylvania Rural Water Association has rescheduled the annual conference due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The CDC as well as our state health organizations have issued warnings against large group meetings during this time, as well as other precautions that should be taken to help prevent the spread of this virus.
Our Association, in light of these warnings, cannot put at risk our members and your communities as this virus begins to spread throughout our state. As your Association, we believe it is our responsibility to do everything in our power to protect the health of our operators and the functioning of our member systems. We feel that it is important to postpone the annual conference at this time to ensure our water and wastewater operators, exhibitors and guests do not come into contact with COVID-19.
The annual conference has been rescheduled to Monday, June 29th to Thursday, July 2nd, again at The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center.
The Penn Stater hotel and Nittany Lion Inn (800-233-7505), Sleep Inn (814-235-1020), Hampton Inn on East College (814-231-1590), Holiday Inn Express on Waddle Road (814-867-1800), and Hampton Inn & Suites on Waddle Road (814-231-1899) have all automatically cancelled reservations made under the PRWA conference room block. However, please call them directly to confirm cancellation and/or reschedule.
We will, over the coming weeks, release a new training and events schedule, new room block information, and revised conference logistics. Anyone who cannot attend the rescheduled show will be issued a full refund promptly. It is an honor to serve our state’s water and wastewater systems. We wish all of you the best of health as our nation combats the spread of this virus.
All Training Classes are now CANCELLED through March 31, 2020. PRWA is cancelling all training classes on or before March 31, 2020. Governor Tom Wolf requests for all Pennsylvanian's to help curb the spread of Covid-19. To aid in this effort of the Governor's closure of many non-essential services throughout the state we feel it's necessary to cancel these classes. Guidance from the PA Department of Health.
