FIELD INSPECTOR AND/OR FIELD MANAGER

Peters Creek Sanitary Authority (PCSA) is in need of field personnel. The position(s) is primarily responsible for the coordination, management and inspection of work performed on PCSA sewer lines. The Field Inspector ensures that work performed on sewer lines is consistent with OSHA standards, federal, state, local, Rules and Regulations, and the Authority Construction Standards and Specifications. Additional duties include:

Conducts inspections, performs maintenance, tests and monitors the PCSA systems, including but not limited to, performing smoke/dye testing, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Right-of-Way and backwater valve compliance, deduct meter and non-public meter readings;

Conducts in-house engineering plan review and sewage availability review;

Coordinates scheduled operational repairs;

Maintains daily notes / report log of assigned field activities and sanitary sewer line plan review;

Responds to emergencies involving PCSA system;

Must be physically able to walk over rough terrain in a variety of weather conditions, including snow, ice and rain;

Must be physically able to lift 100 lbs. maximum and must be able to frequently lift/carry 50 lbs., as U.S. Department of Labor standards;

Monitors and reports customer violations, including but not limited to illegal tap-ins;

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License.

*Uniform Construction Code (UCC) Commercial Plumbing Certification within 1 year of employment.

Technical: Uniform Construction Code (UCC) Commercial Plumbing Certification preferred.

Abilities: Ability to follow Authority’s Rules and Regulations, manage costs and quality, organize schedule, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Maintain Authority Construction Standards and Specifications, Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PA One Call System & internet use.

Communication: Communicates clearly & professionally. Contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience. Maintains composure in challenging situations. Collaborates with others. Promotes a culture of diversity, respect, & takes accountability for own performance.
