Plant Manager

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
The duties of the Plant Manager shall consist of operation, staffing, budgeting and performance of an 8 MGD surface water filtration plant, associated well systems, and PADEP certified laboratory located in the Roaring Creek Division of Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc. 
Duties also include reviewing and recommending needed capital improvements to the Engineer and Area Manager.
The Plant Manager will be the immediate supervisor for all Roaring Creek Division Maintenance Operators, which includes seven union employees.
The Plant Manager will work regular hours, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday as well as for any required after-hours emergencies and/or meetings. The Manager must be on call and available 24/7 to handle any problems that may arise.
Specific Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:

SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL OR REGISTRATION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required (in chemistry, biology, environmental science or engineering is preferred).
Must have 10 years experience in the industry with 5 years in a supervisory role.
Must be computer literate, especially with word processing, e-mail and spreadsheet applications.
Licensing Requirements:
PA DEP Lab Supervisor Certification is required to be obtained within 30 months from the date of hire.
Be certified as a Pennsylvania Class “A” Public Water Supply Operator, with subclasses 1,7,8,10,11,12 and 15, or achieve said certification within specified experience requirement within 18 months of the date of hire.
