Lehigh County Authority is seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Utility Technician II. In this role, you will perform a range of duties to maintain, construct, and repair the water and sanitary sewer infrastructure system, including the operations of all CDL-B required equipment.

What the Job Looks Like
You will have an opportunity to make a significant and meaningful contribution to the success of LCA through the following core job responsibilities:
Operates a variety of general and special purpose vehicles including CDL and Non-CDL
Operates air compressor, jackhammers, vac-all, small pumps, cement mixer, jet trucks, and vactor units
Gains entrance to lines through manholes and performs jetting and maintenance as required
Assists construction crew with maintenance, replacement, and repair of the water and sewer infrastructure
Performs cleaning and general maintenance of the building grounds and equipment
Works independently from maintenance work orders, shipping invoices, requisitions, standard procedures, and general instructions
Receives incoming items, unpacks, and/or uncrates items; examines for accuracy of items, invoice data, and damage
Assists in installation and repair of valves, fire hydrants, manholes, sewer lines, corporation taps, and meters
Uses water and sewer line tracing equipment and software as required
Performs snow removal, salting, and plowing as required
Erects barricades and directs traffic flow around the work area as required
Provide quality and effective customer service with courtesy and understanding to our customers, citizens, and internal departments
Performs related work as may be required

Important Qualifications to your Success
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Licensure:
CDL Class B license with air brakes and tanker endorsement (if you do not already possess, must obtain within 120 days of hire)
Class E water distribution license and/or collection system license (or willingness to obtain after hire)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm with 24/7 stand by service required for a minimum of 2 weeks per year
Work Environment: Must be able to work in all outside weather conditions
