Job Details/Description
Control treatment plant machines and equipment to purify water for human consumption and industrial use..
Operate and control electric motors, pumps, and valves to necessary for the water treatment process.
Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly water testing.
Responsible for flushing of the distribution system.
Repairs, replaces or electric motors, pumps, and control components associated with water treatment.
Other tasks, such as locksmith work, tile setting, masonry, painting, glazing, and cabinet making.
Monitors and regulates addition of chemicals, such as chlorine, fluoride, and orthophosphate.
Perform water testing for industrial water, such as cooling to werts and boilers.
Use technology for the completion of specified job duties
Use and care for equipment properly following all safety requirements
Attend work regularly according to assigned work schedule
Wear ID badge(s) at all times while performing work under this contract.
Follow instructions
Attend and participate in all meetings and activities to facilitate professional development
Work cooperatively with others in a positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and courteous manner

Physical Abilities Needed to Meet Work Demands:

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
Ability to work in confined spaces
Ability to go up and down stairs
Ability to get into and out of truck
Ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, stoop
Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 75 lbs. regularly and over as needed
Ability to work in dusty spaces or adverse weather conditions
Ability to see details on the floor, above the head, or on surfaces

Other requirements:
Valid driver’s license from state of residence and ability to drive
License must have been valid for at least 3 years
Acceptable driving record as determined by Agency’s insurance carrier and by Chimes DC policies and procedures
Must possess PA DEP Drinking Water Certification.

US Citizenship required

Essential Personnel:
This position is designated as essential. This means that when the facility is faced with an institutional emergency, employees in this position may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect, recover, and continue operations at the facility.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:
A minimum of three(3) years of experience working in a water treatment facility.
Extremely high level of attention to detail.
Ability to perform quality work while following safety procedures
Must be knowledgeable of and able to apply all local, state, and federal regulations.
Must be able and work regular schedule of : Day shift, Monday – Friday 7:30am until 4:00pm, as well as some weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work OT if and when needed
