Mars Borough is accepting resumes for a Part-Time Water Treatment Plant Operator.

Ideal candidate will have experience in Water Treatment, as well a valid Class C Water Operator License with Subclasses 7, 8, 9, 11.

Duties will include operation and maintenance of water treatment system, including plant maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment, and maintenance of wells, reservoirs, water mains, hydrants, water meters, and facilities. Operator will be expected to keep water treatment system in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations; and will be responsible to perform sampling, testing, and reporting.

This position requires a valid Pennsylvania Drivers' License and the ability to work outside in the elements, year round. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally higher weights. Must be able to pass a background check and drug/alcohol test.

30 minute response time to emergencies preferred.
