Frequently Asked Questions

Training Questions:

Is PRWA training approved for DEP certified operator contact hours?
Yes, nearly all PRWA training is first approved with DEP for contact hours. We do occasionally host training that does not offer contact hours, such as operator pre-certification training. Just be sure to read the class description to know for sure.

Can I pay for a training seminar with a credit card?
Yes!  You can purchase a training seminar three different ways: online, by fax to (814) 353-9341, and lastly by regular mail. In all three cases, you can pay with a credit card. If you do not feel comfortable sending your credit number electronically, simply fax or email in the registration and then call our office with your credit card number at 800-653-PRWA(7792).

What is your cancellation policy for a training seminar?

Our current policy states that to receive a full refund for a training seminar, the cancellation request must be submitted in writing two weeks prior to the date of the seminar.  A $35 administrative fee will be assessed for each cancellation received in the two weeks prior to the seminar, up until the day before the seminar.  NO REFUNDS will be given the day of or after the scheduled seminar. Requests can be submitted online, via fax or e-mail.

I just attended a PRWA Seminar, when will I receive my contact hours?

Once a seminar is held, the trainer will mail the sign-in sheets to our Bellefonte Office. Once we receive the sign-in sheets, we will process them in the order they were received.  We have up to 30 days from the date of the seminar to upload contact hours to PA DEP and mail your completed training certificate.

Do I have to pre-register for seminars?

We strongly suggest you pre-register for all seminars.  We provide meal counts as well as the training materials based on our registered attendees.  We will assess a $25 Walk-In Fee for those individuals that do not pre-register for the seminar.
