Presentation shall review air valve design and maintenance. we shall discuss surge effects of trapped air in a pipelines and the health and safety effects resulting from negative pipeline pressure. The presentation will clearly show how proper air valve sizing and location can affect vaporous cavity formation, it effects on pipeline in both lab and field conditions. It will present methods and new understanding of surge and surge protection.
