This class will provide renewal for Testers, Surveyors, and Repairers. At this 8 hour training, participants will review the guidelines used for acceptable practices of testing backflow prevention devices.  The participants will receive the information and skills to help them pass the American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE) Recertification Examination.  At the end of the training the recertification exam will be given.  This consists of a written and hands-on exam.  This training is mandatory in order for the student to recertify under ASSE guidelines.

Please keep in mind that this is a very challenging course to complete in 8 hours (including 1 hour for written test).  You must demonstrate proficiency on testing all 4 types of backflow prevention assemblies and pass a 25 question written test.  There will be minimal time in class to prepare for the written exam and therefore, it is strongly recommended that course material from previous classes be reviewed before the day of the class.  

Must have valid ASSE Tester Certification.

Prerequisite: To obtain the ASSE Certification you must have been working as a plumber or system operator for at least 5 years.

Participants will need a laptop for evening work and studying for this course.  Laptops will be provided for in-class use.  If you require a paper copy of the materials, it can be provided at an additional cost of ­­­­$250.  All exams will be given by computer.

REGISTRATION:  The registration deadline is 30 days from the 1st day of the class.

To successfully register for the class, payment must be submitted at the time of registration - no exceptions.

CANCELLATION:  Cancellations made AFTER the registration deadline will not receive a refund.  ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE SENT TO PRWA IN WRITING.
