The course is designed for water and wastewater treatment plant operators, plumbers and maintenance personnel. The purpose of the course is to give already certified backflow prevention assembly testers, detailed instruction on diagnosing problems in backflow devices using a   differential pressure gauge and then disassembling it and making necessary repairs. This course is designed to bring together everything that may have been learned in other classes. This course has been approved by the ASSE (The American Society of Sanitary Engineers) and therefore meets ANSI Standard Series 5000.

Participants that successfully complete the #3478 Repair Certification Course will automatically be recertified for backflow assembly testing. If you have already had the #3478 Repair Certification or are only interested in being certified for testing you should register for a testing only recertification course (#874 or #5110).

You must be a certified backflow prevention assembly tester certified by ASSE, NEWWA, ABPA, or BMI to take this course.  Successful completion of this course will also renew your Tester, Surveyor, or Administrator Certification.

Participants will need a laptop for evening work and studying for this course.  Laptops will be provided for in-class use.  If you require a paper copy of the materials, it can be provided at an additional cost of ­­­­$150.  All exams will be given by computer.

Lunch on your own.

Exam will be given on the final day of the course.
