Troubleshooting the Activated Sludge Process with a Microscope:This course provides an in-depth, review of the use of the microscope as a troubleshooting and process control measure for the activated sludge process.
Wastewater Pathogens: This course reviews the disease agents associated with wastewaters, sludges, compost, aerosols and contaminated materials. Disease agents present include viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa and helminths (roundworms and tapeworms). Special reviews are offered for Hepatitis viruses, HIV (AIDS virus) and West Nile Virus, Leptosporosis, Giardiasis, Cryptosporidium and roundworm and tapeworm diseases. Disease transmission, body defenses and hygiene measures are presented.
