12/14/2020-12/15/2020 - #8646: Pumping System Optimization: Energy Efficiency and Bottom-Line Savings (Live Online) - Session 1
The Pump System Optimization (PSO) course comprehensively educates operators on the variables that affect the performance of a pump system including energy consumption and reliability. PSO begins with the fundamental principles of the pumping system and how the system affects the pumping requirements related to pressure, flow, power consumption, and reliability. Examples and case studies build on the fundamentals that sends the attendees away with a better understanding of how pump systems are designed, pumps are selected for the system, controlled and operated, and tools to identify systems that can be optimized.
This is Session 1 of 2. Session 1 is given in 3 separate virtual sessions. Session 2 is a separate course for additional Contact Hours and offered at a pumping facility. Session 1 must be completed prior to taking session 2.
Hydraulic Institute will email the WebEx link for the course and the workbook. You will also receive a free copy of their Pump System Optimization Guidebook. The book is included and they will provide a coupon code to receive the book as a download.
Each operator must be able to log into WebEx individually with a single device for Contact Hours**.
Prior to class, attendees will need their own WebEx account which includes their name, phone number and possibly email address.
Attendees can use a computer, phone, or tablet to attend program, however, for the best experience, a device with a web cam and speaker is best.
**Attendees can share a computer for viewing. But, each attendee must also log into a device individually (e.g. View on computer at the plant as a group, but also log into WebEx individually with your phone). Attendees will individually answer periodic poll questions and take quizzes during program. This is necessary to verify attendance and participation. This will involve typing into a device.
