Duncansville Borough is Hiring a Water Plant Operator
Position Description: The Water Plant Operator reports directly to the Water/Sewer Superintendent. Responsible for operating and maintaining a ten-million-gallon-per-month water treatment plant. Oversee and support the operations, maintenance, treatment, and repair of the community’s water supply and distribution systems. This position ensures compliance with all state and federal water quality regulations, manages staff, budgets, and provides strategic leadership to maintain safe, efficient, and sustainable water services for all customers.
Minimum Qualifications: The employee must have a Class A and E with Subclass 7, 8, 10 and 11 Pennsylvania Water Treatment Plant Certification; A high school diploma or equivalent is required with college or technical school preferred; Experience with budget development, personnel supervision and regulatory compliance; Ability to work for emergency call outs and weekend rotations; Dependable, Must maintain PA Water Certification; Computer skills and mechanical ability.
