Licensed Wastewater Operator Position – Wyomissing Authority

The Joint Municipal Authority of Wyomissing Valley, Berks County, is accepting applications for the position of Licensed Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.  Applicants must have a Class B Type 1 license or the ability to obtain one within 18 months of employment.  Job requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Collecting samples and performing basic laboratory test for NPDES Compliance.
  • Collecting and recording readings from gages, charts, instruments and control panels.
  • Skimming and hosing tanks, monitoring sludge levels in tanks, and operating and maintaining wastewater equipment used in treatment and solids handling.
  • Operate centrifuge and biosolids dryer.
  • Perform basic building and grounds maintenance including landscaping, mowing, painting, snow removal and cleaning.

Work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with some Weekend, Overtime and Holiday work required. EOE. To submit a resume and request an application form, please contact:
