Wastewater Treatment plant Operator
Washington Township is seeking to fill the position of Sewer Operator at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Operator must be able to perform a variety of skilled task and semi-skilled task, such as trouble shoot call outs, pump station maintenance, both lateral and main inspections, etc. Washington Township has two separate wastewater systems: 1) collection system, which includes 10 pump stations, the wastewater is processed by our neighboring municipality. 2) A small, very underutilized, activated sludge wastewater treatment plant. Operator will also work with members of Road and/or Parks Departments when necessary. Responsible for plowing snow within the facility and at pump stations.
Special Requirements:
•Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
•Prefer Possession of a valid Class E, Subclass 4, Wastewater Operator Certificate from PA DEP, ability to obtain a Class D, subclass 1, certificate as soon as possible.
Salary position based on 44/hrs. per week, comencerate with experience..
