Michael DiSantis is a highly respected water and wastewater professional with more than 47 years of experience in the collection, treatment, conveyance, and distribution of water and wastewater systems. With over 36 years of management experience, he has led operations for both public- and private-sector utilities, overseeing facilities ranging from small systems of 2,000 gallons per day to major plants exceeding 100 million gallons per day. Michael currently serves as Director of Operations and Maintenance at DELCORA, a role he has held since 2005, and previously held senior leadership and project management positions with Gannett Fleming, Miller Environmental, Valley Forge Sewer Authority, and several industrial and municipal organizations. He has also contributed extensively to operator education as a course instructor and outreach professional for the Pennsylvania DCED and DEP. He holds Pennsylvania Wastewater A,E-1,2,3,4 certifications and Pennsylvania Water B,E-11,12,13,14 certifications, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Villanova University. A long-time leader within the water sector, Michael has served in numerous leadership roles with professional organizations including the Eastern Pennsylvania Water Pollution Control Operators Association, the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association, and the Water Environment Federation.
