Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead daily operations of the engineering department
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate engineering staff
- Assign projects and resolve technical issues
- Develop work plans aligned with organizational goals
- Engineering & Design Review
- Review water distribution and wastewater collection system designs
- Evaluate development submittals for compliance and constructability
- Analyze system performance, hydraulic issues, and water quality
- Project & Infrastructure Management
- Identify system rehabilitation and replacement projects
- Prepare cost estimates and track project budgets, schedules, and performance
- Coordinate engineering activities with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Field & System Analysis
- Participate in field investigations and hydraulic analysis
- Conduct fire flow testing and evaluate system capacity for new developments
- Compliance & Stakeholder Coordination
- Ensure engineering projects meet regulatory and organizational standards
- Maintain emergency preparedness and safety procedures
- Represent the organization in meetings with developers, engineers, and agencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or PE-track
- 8+ years of water/wastewater engineering experience, including leadership roles
- Experience with design review, project management, and regulatory compliance
- Strong communication and leadership skills
