What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Leading daily operation of a wastewater treatment plant
  • Operating and maintaining equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, filters, aerators, and chlorinators
  • Performing sampling and chemical testing to support compliance
  • Scheduling work and reviewing completed tasks
  • Supervising and training an inmate work crew in a secure setting
  • Maintaining logs, records, and inventory
  • Supporting safe operations during routine and emergency conditions

What You Need to Qualify

Minimum Experience

  • One year of experience operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Valid certifications from the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems Operators
    • Class C or higher and a Class E
  • Valid Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent
