Responsibilities:

operate and control wastewater treatment equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS), to maintain optimal treatment processes
conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems, plumbing, pumps, valves, and heavy equipment involved in wastewater treatment operations
perform equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation
collect and analyze data related to wastewater quality parameters, system performance and process efficiency for reporting and compliance purposes
basic math skills for data analysis, measurements and calculations related to sewer treatment processes
maintain detailed records of operations, maintenance activities, and data logs for regulatory reporting and process improvement
manage heavy lifting tasks safely during construction or maintenance activities involving tanks, piping, or other infrastructure components
