Water/Wastewater Construction Inspector

WATER/WASTEWATER CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR
Stiffler McGraw is seeking a Water/Wastewater Construction Inspector to provide field inspection services for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This position will require frequent travel to project sites.
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience with water and/or wastewater treatment related construction projects preferred
- Knowledge of municipal infrastructure, utility construction, and construction inspection practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to prepare daily inspection reports, maintain project records, and document construction progress
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, municipal clients, project engineers, and regulatory agencies
- Valid driver’s license required
- DEP permitting or PennDOT experience preferred but not required
- Construction inspection and material testing certifications preferred but not required
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the project manager or division manager, the successful candidate will provide construction inspection services for water and wastewater projects, including waterline replacement, sanitary sewer rehabilitation, pump stations, treatment facilities, and related municipal infrastructure improvements.
Responsibilities will include observing construction activities, verifying that work is completed in accordance with approved plans and specifications, preparing daily inspection reports, documenting quantities and field conditions, attending construction meetings, assisting with requests for information and change orders, reviewing contractor pay applications, and coordinating with contractors, municipal representatives, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
The position is full-time and includes a generous benefits package. This position will require frequent travel to project sites.
