Collection System Troubleshooting: An improperly maintained collection system can add unnecessary costs to a community’s wastewater customers. A collection system operator needs to know how to identify the problem areas, how to detect I & I and how to repair those problems once found. This course is designed to help collection system operators establish maintenance and troubleshooting practices and repair collection system problems, so the system remains in compliance and does not exceed permit levels.
Collection Systems: Inflow and Infiltration Studies: Inflow and infiltration surveys are utilized to assess and evaluate the integrity of a sewer network. Operators have a variety of
tools available to them to undertake these surveys. This course will focus on the methods and tools for executing a comprehensive I and I system survey.
